Interested organisations were invited to propose AI solutions for real-world challenges. The competition received over 35 ideas from 20+ organisations across Scotland.

After rigorous deliberation, the judges selected three organisations to advance to the next stage of the AI Challenge. The shortlisted organisations are:

“We were delighted by the response levels from Scotland’s public sector agencies. It just goes to show that there is a huge groundswell of support to try and use AI for the public good.”

“The range and quality of applications made it a difficult task for our judging panel, but we reached consensus that the three selected for the final stage were highly innovative and potentially transformative in the way they deliver services to citizens.”

Each shortlisted organisation will work with Storm ID to develop a proof of concept (PoC) for their project. These PoCs will be presented to the judges at Futurescot’s Digital Scotland event on 26 November.

The winner, to be announced at the event, will receive £20,000 worth of technical support from Storm ID to further develop their idea and PoC.
