Storm ID named as a supplier on G-Cloud 15
Following a competitive process, we’re proud to have been named as a supplier on G-Cloud 15, with 76 services spanning software, infrastructure software and cloud support.
Storm ID has been named as a supplier on the Government Commercial Agency’s RM1557.15 G-Cloud 15 framework. This enables us to continue helping public sector organisations across the UK procure the specialist technology and expertise they need to deliver secure, accessible and effective digital services.
A major opportunity for SMEs
As a growing UK SME, we’re particularly pleased to be part of a framework designed to create opportunities for businesses of our scale. Approximately 90% of suppliers appointed to G-Cloud 15 are small and medium-sized enterprises, reflecting the important role SMEs play in delivering innovation and specialist digital capability across the public sector.
G-Cloud is also one of the UK public sector’s most significant technology procurement routes. G-Cloud 15 is valued at approximately £14 billion over its four-year term, with an estimated £3 billion of public sector cloud spend expected to flow through the framework each year.
What's new in G-Cloud 15
The Government Commercial Agency (GCA) is the UK’s central commercial and procurement organisation and the successor to the Crown Commercial Service. G-Cloud 15 replaces G-Cloud 14 and is the first iteration of the agreement to be established as an open framework under the Procurement Act 2023.
G-Cloud 15 also consolidates three previously separate frameworks into a single commercial agreement, making it simpler for public sector organisations to procure their cloud requirements in one place.
The framework can run for up to four years, with planned reopenings during that period. This gives new and growing suppliers further opportunities to join the framework rather than having to wait for the next full iteration. It also gives buyers greater flexibility in how they procure services, with purchases available both with and without competition. Call-off contracts for Storm ID’s lots can run for up to 60 months, supporting longer-term partnerships and digital transformation programmes.
G-Cloud 15 also places greater emphasis on quality, price and social value as well as cybersecurity and service assurance. It features the most comprehensive supplier evaluation in G-Cloud’s history, assessing suppliers against quality, technical capability and price and giving buyers greater confidence when selecting services.
Our experience of G-Cloud has been extremely positive. It provides a clear and effective route for organisations throughout the UK to find and procure trusted cloud services. For SMEs such as Storm ID, it also provides a transparent route to compete for significant public sector opportunities. It can be used across central and local government, health, education, blue light services, devolved administrations and the wider public sector.
