That is why we are delighted to celebrate four colleagues whose recent progress shows exactly what that commitment looks like in practice.
Catriona Vine
Catriona Vine continues with Storm ID as a full-time Frontend Developer
After four years on the Graduate Apprentice programme, combining her work at Storm with studying Software Development at Edinburgh Napier University, Catriona Vine is graduating and joining us full-time as a Frontend Developer.
Throughout her apprenticeship, Cat has achieved outstanding performance commendations at university while making a strong contribution to high-profile Storm projects. Her progression into a permanent role is a brilliant reflection of her talent, effort and the quality of support provided across the business.
The last four years have been such a rewarding experience! Working alongside wonderful colleagues at Storm while studying for my degree, I've learned so much and been part of such interesting projects. I'm delighted to be staying on full-time as a Frontend Developer, and I'm looking forward to getting stuck in even more!
Nicole Soto
Nicole Soto continues with Storm ID as a full-time .Net Developer
Nicole Soto is also completing her degree at Edinburgh Napier University after four years as a Graduate Apprentice with Storm. We are delighted that Nicole will continue with us as a full-time .Net Developer, building on the excellent work she has already delivered across a range of critical projects.
Like Cat, Nicole’s journey shows the strength of the graduate apprenticeship model when it combines formal learning with practical experience, mentoring and the chance to contribute to meaningful client work.
One of the best things about the Graduate Apprenticeship has been the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while still learning. I’ve been trusted with real responsibility, supported by people with a lot of experience, and able to develop my skills along the way. I’m really pleased to be staying with Storm ID and starting the next stage of my career here.
Amber Degner-Budd
Amber Degner-Budd progresses to Test Engineer
Amber Degner-Budd joined Storm ID as a Graduate Test Engineer and is now progressing to the role of Test Engineer. The move reflects the progress she has made since joining Storm, building her skills, experience and confidence while taking on increasing responsibility across project teams.
Since joining Storm, Amber has had the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, work across real client projects and take on more responsibility.
Test engineering plays such an important role in making sure the products and services we build are reliable and work well for the people using them, so I’m really pleased to be progressing into the Test Engineer role and continuing to develop my career here.
Asha Mullen
Asha Mullen becomes an Associate Digital Consultant
Asha Mullen joined Storm ID just over a year ago as a Graduate AI Consultant and is now moving into the role of Associate Digital Consultant. In that time, Asha has had a strong impact across her projects, building trust with senior clients and helping to shape the way we work with AI in consultancy.
Asha’s move reflects both the growing importance of AI-enabled consultancy at Storm ID and the value of creating graduate roles where people can contribute from the outset, develop quickly and build confidence through live client work.
I’ve been given opportunities to get involved in meaningful client work from the outset, which has helped me develop quickly and build confidence. I’m really pleased to be moving into the Associate Digital Consultant role and excited about the opportunities ahead, particularly as AI becomes an increasingly important part of the work we do.
Serious about early careers
These are personal achievements for Cat, Nicole, Amber and Asha, and they deserve to be celebrated as such. They are also important milestones for Storm ID. We want people at the early stages of their careers to feel that they can learn here, contribute here and build their future here.
