Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service pilot new digital service
Storm ID have collaborated with the Crown office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) to launch a new pilot digital service for how victims and witnesses engage with COPFS during legal proceedings. The service enables users to easily confirm their availability for court appearances, review statements, access guidance and submit expense claims, reducing the need to travel to COPFS offices in person.
Storm ID led the research, design, development and delivery of the digital service. Designing the technical architecture and establishing a robust infrastructure that ensures secure connectivity between the Witness Gateway and COPFS’s back-office systems. Storm ID supported COPFS through a Digital Scotland Service Standard assessment to confirm the service was meeting users needs, accessible, sustainable and using the right technology.
Storm ID Director, Mike Cashin said: "Storm ID's ongoing partnership with COPFS continues with the pilot release of the Witness Gateway. This collaboration marks further progress in digital transformation of the justice sector in Scotland. This service offers a simple, clear, fast experience based on user needs"
